Information about the avalanche course from 17 to 19 January 2025

Ski or snowboard touring is new to you and you want to learn the important basics right from the start or brush up on your old knowledge? The 3-day avalanche course at the Bietschhorn Ausserberg Alpine School will give you the knowledge and skills to be safe and confident in the mountains. Whether you are a beginner or want to brush up on your knowledge - this course is just right for you.

Learn the most important basics directly in the Swiss Alps: avalanche knowledge, orientation, tour planning and companion rescue. Over three intensive days, you will gain the necessary theoretical and practical skills to be able to travel safely in open terrain.

After an adventurous day in the mountains, you can relax in the WYN Skillpark . You will stay overnight with half board and there is the option of booking a wellness package on arrival - perfect for regenerating your muscles. There is also a climbing and bouldering hall right in the building so that the adrenaline rush continues away from the snow or you can simply clear your head after the theory part.

• Day 1 : Meeting point and course opening. Then theory 3x3, avalanche awareness, equipment check.

• Day 2 : Transport to a ski area, training in avalanche awareness, rescue and orientation. Tour planning in the evening.

• Day 3 : Application tour in the area with further training.
