Information about the avalanche course for women from 7 to 9 February 2025

Are you new to ski or snowboard touring and would you like to learn the most important basics right from the start or brush up on your old knowledge? Then this 3-day avalanche course from the Bietschhorn Ausserberg Alpine School is just the thing for you. The course is aimed specifically at all women and FLINTA people (women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people) of all ages who want to be safe and confident in the mountains. The course is led by mountain guides and a team rider from HAE may also drop by.

In an encouraging and supportive environment, you will learn the most important basics for ski touring and snowboard touring directly in the Swiss Alps: avalanche knowledge, orientation, tour planning and companion rescue. Over three intensive days, you will receive the necessary theoretical and practical tools to be able to travel safely in open terrain.

After an exciting day in the mountains, you can relax in the WYN Skillpark . Stay overnight with half board and book a wellness package on arrival - perfect for regenerating tired muscles. The WYN Skillpark also has a climbing and bouldering hall where you can work out away from the snow or clear your head after the theory part.

• Day 1 : Meeting point and course opening. Then theory 3x3, avalanche awareness, equipment check.
• Day 2 : Transport to a ski area, training in avalanche awareness, rescue and orientation. Tour planning in the evening.
• Day 3 : Application tour in the area with further training.
