Mentale Stärke am Fels mit Christian Inderkum

MENTAL STRENGTH ON THE ROCK

HAE HQ Visp

Thursday, March 5 – Interactive lecture with Christian Inderkum

Climbing is not just about strength and technique, but above all about mindset.

Christian Inderkum demonstrates how mental strength develops on the rock face and how it can be specifically trained. The focus is on the climbing team as a unit. What happens when fear joins the climb, communication breaks down, or trust is strained?

The focus is on concrete situations from everyday climbing. How do you stay mentally stable when things get serious? How much mental energy do you actually invest in joint preparation? What role does the belayer play in safety, performance, and trust? And how can mental strength be specifically developed within the rope team, whether for sport climbing, projecting, onsighting, redpointing, or mountaineering?

Christian Inderkum is a certified Swiss Olympic elite sports coach, snow sports instructor, and sports mental coach. He brings many years of experience from both elite and recreational sports and works with athletes of varying performance levels. His input is practical, honest, and directly applicable.

The evening is designed to be interactive. Questions, discussions, and personal experiences from the participants are explicitly part of the format. No lectures, no motivational speeches, but rather an exchange on equal footing.

A relaxed evening at HAE HQ, where there is also room for conversations among like-minded people and a shared after-work beer.
