We are delighted to welcome Raphael Imsand as a speaker for an exclusive evening at our HAE HQ in Visp. Raphael, who grew up in Goms, has experienced the Alps as his playground since childhood. Today, he is not only a passionate mountain guide, but also an avalanche safety expert and specialist instructor at the Army's Mountain Service Competence Center. His impressive experience in avalanche and rescue services, combined with his work as a helicopter rescue specialist, make him a true connoisseur of the alpine world.
In his talk, Raphael will provide deeper insights into life in the mountains - the challenges he faces every day as a mountain guide, and how climate change is affecting the alpine habitat and his profession. He will talk about his responsibility as regional security manager in Goms and the indispensable work he does to protect the region from natural hazards. In addition to exciting stories from everyday life, he will also focus on the special relationship between people and mountains and illustrate how strongly the mountains can shape us.
This evening offers the unique opportunity to experience Raphael Imsand up close, learn more about the challenges of mountain life and immerse yourself in his stories. If you love the mountains or simply want to learn more about life in the Alps, then this event is a must.
