SOCIAL PROJECTS AT HAE

At HAE, we are not only inspired by the mountains, but also by the community that surrounds them. We firmly believe that success comes with responsibility. That's why we have been involved in various social projects around the world for many years. Whether through donations, building solar panels or supporting health initiatives - we want to give something back and have a positive impact on the world. NEVER THROW AWAY - ALWAYS PASS IT ON

At HAE, we never throw away old or surplus products. Instead, we donate them to youth organizations, clubs, and children's hospitals. This way, we can ensure that our beanies, headbands, and other items continue to do good and bring joy. These donations are a small token of our appreciation for the community that inspires and supports us. Instead of organizing a big sale, we wanted to give something back in 2022/23. After all, we collected goods from the last few seasons and donated them to social institutions and other projects. We gave away goods worth more than CHF 20,000 to over 20 projects.

SOLAR SYSTEM FOR A CHILDREN'S HOME IN INDIA

Although our visit to the Kongu Arivalayam Trust children's home was several years ago, we still feel very connected to it and fondly remember all the children and the home's great projects. In spring 2021, we asked where we could best support them. At that time, a small solar system was being planned for the children's home, which has now been put into operation thanks to our support.

SOLAR SYSTEM IN AFRICA: THE LUCENT PROJECT

In collaboration with winsun AG and Lauber Iwisa AG, we founded LUCENT a few years ago to bring solar energy to where it is most needed. Through the sale of our beanies and headbands, we were able to install solar panels on the roofs of schools in Africa, such as Benin. These panels still provide clean, sustainable energy today and sustainably improve the lives of schoolchildren and their communities.

HELP FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN INDIA

A few years ago we produced some of our neckwear at Mr. Shiva in India before we brought the entire production back to Europe. During our time in India we wanted to do more than just produce. So we installed a water pump and a solar system for a school for children with special needs. We were on site to make sure that these projects really make a difference. This experience showed us how important it is to take responsibility and help locally where help is needed most.

MOVEMBER FOUNDATION - FOR MEN'S HEALTH

The Movember Foundation is committed to men's health worldwide and raises funds for important research projects and awareness campaigns. We supported Movember more than ten years ago because the issue is close to our hearts.

EDUCATION AND PREVENTION - SAVEMYLOVE AND GUMMILOVE

At HAE, we are actively committed to educating young people to enable them to have a safe and healthy future. Through the sale of our products, we were able to support the SaveMyLove organization, which, in collaboration with AIDS-Hilfe Schweiz, carries out important educational work on HIV/AIDS and sexual health. Our initiative complemented this commitment by promoting awareness of contraception and responsible choices. This was our very first social project and - if we are not mistaken - was almost 15 years ago.
