HAE Split Board Basic Camp

SPLITBOARD CAMP BASIC

Engelberg

DU VEN. 16 AU DIM. 18 JANVIER 2026

Fresh snow, crisp air, three days out in the mountains. The Splitboard Camp Basic in Engelberg is for anyone wanting to get into ski touring and learn the fundamentals of splitboarding from scratch. Together with the Engelberg Mountain Guides and our team buddy Julian Fürsinger, you'll spend three days where learning, experience, and safety go hand in hand.

This camp is designed for beginners and those who simply want to enjoy the experience. You should have good snowboarding technique on groomed slopes and the fitness to climb 600 to 800 meters in altitude. Splitboarding experience is not required. The goal is to optimally prepare you for the season and teach you the most important basics of independent ski touring.

The content focuses on avalanche prevention, rescue techniques, tour planning, ascent techniques, descent techniques, and basic alpine skills. The motto is: little theory, lots of practice. On the last day, you'll put your knowledge into practice on a longer tour, which you'll plan together as a group. This is how you gain safety, routine, and the confidence to move independently in the terrain.
